WHO PUT THE PINEAPPLES IN THE PAPAYA JUICE....RONALD LIPPERT?WILLIAM MILNE?OR WHO?

WHEN I TOOK OFF from Malton Airport for Havana, Cuba, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 23 of last year, I expected a flight so routine that I didn't even bother calling Montreal to tell Helene, my wife, I was going. In the preceding thirty months I'd made the TorontoHavana flight about eighty times: seventy-five trips as pilot for a Canadian aircargo service, one as a guest consultant to Cubana airlines and, more recently, three as pilot for, and one member of, a Canadian business group trying to get permission from the Cuban government to set up a food-export operation.

CANADA’S LONGEST BOOM: Can '64 be as good as ’63? Or '62? And what about the Seventies?

MOST CANADIANS will get a little richer this year and they’ll spend a little more money than they’ve ever spent before on the things that make them feel good: liquor, beer, furs, music, boats, cars, ocean trips, stylish furniture, and just going out at night.
