THIS serial has been illustrated by two eminent artists-Dudley Gloyne Summers and G. J. McCarthy. Each is an old favorite with MacLean's readers. Which illustrator's work more nearly conforms to your conceptions of the characters and situations in the story? This serial will be completed in four instalments. Each instalment will be illustrated by both artists. Compare-and contrast-the illustrations. To the five readers who send in the best criticisms and appreciations-of not more than two hundred words - signed originals will he presented. In addition, there will be a cash honorarium of $25 for the reader whose letter is ranked first. This serial will conclude in the July 1 5 issue. All letters must reach this office by July 30. No letters will be returned and the decision of the editors is to be final. Suggestion: preserve these four issues so that you may view the series of illustrations as a whole.
