Jennifer’s parents didn’t listen to conventional thinking. Jennifer, who is hyperactive and suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder has gone from being shy and introverted to becoming a champion-calibre swimmer.
Through participation in the Special Olympics, she has overcome her shyness to become the leader of her swim team, able to swim 25 metres in fewer than 20 seconds. She’s embraced competition. Her confidence has soared.
