Lenny Kravitz finishes John Intini’s sentences
Lenny Kravitz’s success should have come as no surprise, considering the Brooklyn-born rocker grew up surrounded by music business royalty. His parents, NBC TV news producer Sy Kravitz and actress Roxie Roker (The Jeffersons), had a circle of friends that included Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and Sarah Vaughan. Kravitz, 40, released Baptism, his eighth CD, in May. He recently finished Maclean’s Assistant Editor John Intini’s sentences.

ALL YOUNG SINGERS SHOULD LISTEN TO... Aretha’s Gold. Nothing beats a basic Aretha Franklin lesson.
THE LAST TIME I WAS SCARED... was recently on my private jet. We had some technical problems. It was a bit hairy, but all worked out fine in the end.
THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A 40YEAR-OLD ROCK STAR... is that I still look 25.
1. Early on, Kravitz patterned his style after Prineeand was known as Romeo Blue. 2. Madonna topped the charts in 1990 with Justify My Love, co-written and produced by him. 3. In 2003, his download-only release We Want Peace protested the Iraq invasion.
