Breaking up is hard to do

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston say they’re still friends, but that won’t stop the tabloids from spending weeks-even months, unless another Paris Hilton sex tape surfaces-picking apart everything related to their high-profile breakup. Here’s how their separation stacks up to other celebrity splits. JOHN INTINI

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

(4.5 years)

WHO HAS THE MONEY? Forbes says Aniston’s worth US$75 million, while Pitt’s down for US$100 million. KIDS: 0

(rumoured to be marital problem No. 1)

WINNER: Pitt can once again challenge his Ocean’s Twelve pal George Clooney for the title of sexiest bachelor.

Jude Law and Sadie Frost (6 years)

WHO HAS THE MONEY? Let’s just say that Frost -an actress who hasn’t done a film since 2001will be well compensated. KIDS: 3 WINNER: Law had starring roles in some of 2004’s biggest films, and is even taking the plunge again-this time with Al fie co-star Sienna Miller.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (10 years)

WHO HAS THE MONEY? She’s no slouch, but when the couple split in 2001, Cruise had just been ranked as Hollywood’s highestpaid actor.

KIDS: 2

WINNER: A tough call, but Kidman has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in her own right since trading in the Top Gun.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander (55 hours)

WHO HAS THE MONEY? Alexander is a college frat boy. Enough said.

KIDS: Barely time to consummate their vows. WINNER: Alexander, for scoring an unlikely 15 minutes of fame. Spears has since found “love” and re-married, but this stunt sped up her ongoing downward spiral.
