Florentino Floro has lost an appeal to keep his job as a court judge in Manila. He was dismissed in March on “administrative grounds,” because he said he had supernatural powers, including the ability to see the future (which no doubt would obviate the need to hold a trial). Besides, as a Philippines Supreme Court ruling declared, Floro’s “insistence on the existence of ‘dwarves’ conflicts with prevailing expectations concerning judicial behaviour.”
