Results in the eighth annual Maclean’s/Decima year-end poll are based on 1,697 interviews conducted with Canadian residents 18 years or older in all 10 provinces, by telephone from Nov. 19 through Nov. 24. National results are based on a proportionate, weighted sample of 1,500 of the poll respondents, and are considered accurate within a range of 2.6 percentage points above or below the figures given, 19 times out of 20.
